These terms apply to open courses. Open courses are training organised by Gispo where anyone can register. The terms for customer specific training are specified in the training offer.

Registration and cancellation

Register at least 7 days before the start of the course. After this the registration to the course is binding. If the person registered can’t attend, they may be replaced by another person instead. Everyone attending the course must register.

Registration can be cancelled without cost when done earlier than 7 days before the start of the course. If the the cancellation is done within 7 days of course start, we will charge 100% of the course fee as office and reservation costs. If the registrant fails to attend the course without notice of cancellation, we will charge the full participation fee. In addition, we will charge EUR 100 for the delivery of the course materials, in the event of cancellation.

Cancellation fees will also be charged in case of illness. If you wish to cancel your registration, please contact training@gispo.fi

Participation

Maximum number of participants for open courses is 6 participants. The course will be held if at least 2 participants have registered. We will let you know one week prior to the course if it is cancelled. If the course is cancelled due to too few registered participants, we will try to organise the course at another time.

It is recommended that each participant have a computer to join the course. People not registered for the course are not allowed to follow the training over the shoulder of the participant. Recording the training is not allowed.

What is included?

The price includes teaching, training materials and support service that is available after the course.

• Training material includes the lectures and exercises. The copyright of all training material remains with Gispo Finland Ltd. The materials are licensed under CC BY-ND 4.0 license.
• The participant will receive a certificate after the course. Participant will receive a QGIS certificate from certified QGIS courses. As a certified organization Gispo can give a offical QGIS certificate for those that have completed the certified course. The certification also supports the development of QGIS. The certificate contains a unique ID and a link that can be used to verify the authenticity of the certificate.
• Participants will get access to support service by Gispo Finland for 2 months. A 6-hour training includes 8 hours of support service and a 12-hour training includes 16 hours of support service.
